Mr. Gene Paul King

Mr. Gene Paul King, age 82, of Murray, Kentucky, died, Monday, August 28, 2023, at his home.

Mr. King was born on July 19, 1941, in New Concord, Kentucky to the late George Ora King and Alma Odelle Steele King. He attended both the New Concord School and the Murray Independent School. Mr. King worked at Tappan until its closure and retired from Steele and Allbritten Plumbing and Electrical. He was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ and the Ray Murdock and Dan Davis Sunday School Class.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Parker.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Barnett King; they married on June 8, 1961, in Shawnee Town, Illinois; one daughter, Valerie King Neale and husband Randy of Almo, Kentucky; one son, Brad King and wife Denese of Murray, Kentucky; one grandchild, Wesley King Neale and wife Chelsea of Almo, Kentucky; one great grandchild, Easton Joe Neale of Almo, Kentucky; as well as several nieces.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 1, 2023, at the Glendale Road Church of Christ in Murray, Kentucky with John Dale and Garry Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2023, at the Glendale Road Church of Christ in Murray, Kentucky.
