Mr. George Rogers Clark, age 79, of Almo, Kentucky, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
He was a member of the Hardin Baptist Church; he was a former machinist for the S.K.W Alloys in Calvert City; he had also been self-employed as a mechanic.
He was born in Calloway County Kentucky on July 28, 1935 to the late James Archie and Helen Duncan Clark. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Pete Clark and Roy Clark.
He is survived by his wife Jenny Furgerson Clark of Almo, Kentucky; they were married in Almo, Kentucky on February 7, 1959; also survived by one daughter, Kristy Briggs and friend Tim Weaver of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Keith Clark and wife Cindy of Murray, Kentucky, Kenny Clark and wife Tammy of Calvert City, Kentucky; two sister-in-laws, Dot Clark of Murray, Kentucky, Fran Ramsey and husband Eddie of Dexter, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Byron Junior Ferguson and wife Phyllis OF Murray, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Chelsea Van Rooy and husband Jason, Dusty Clark and wife Michelle, Brittani Morehead and husband Brandon, Katie McCuiston and husband Brian, Darcy Stephenson, and Cody Clark; two great grandchildren, Emma and Cooper Van Rooy.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2014 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. Ricky Cunningham and Rev. Tim Palmer will officiate with burial to follow in the Brook's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
