Geraldine Myers

Mrs. Geraldine Myers, age 100, of Hazel, Kentucky, died Tuesday, August 01, 2017 at the Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.

Mrs. Myers was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on March 7, 1917 to the late J.C. Milstead and Tyra Paschall Milstead. Mrs. Myers was a retired school teacher with the Calloway County School System teaching both algebra I and typing. She was a member of the Hazel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Myers is preceded in death by her husband, Odolphus Franklin "Skeet" Myers.

Mrs. Myers is survived by one daughter, Nancy Pruitt and husband Marvin of Hazel, Kentucky; one sister, Betty Jane Strader and husband Billy Jo of Calvert City, Kentucky; one grandchild, Robert Pruitt of Hazel, Kentucky; one nephew, Dale Strader and wife Gwen of Calvert City, Kentucky; as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hazel Baptist Church with Bro. Jordan Roach officiating. Burial will follow in the South Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral home. Mrs. Myers will lie in state at the Hazel Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017.
