Gladys M. Jones

Mrs. Gladys M. Jones, age 93, of Dexter, Kentucky, died, Monday, October 7, 2013 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.

Mrs. Jones was born in Murray, Kentucky on October 4, 1920 to the late Seldon and Ethel (Poyner) Miller. Mrs. Jones previously worked at the chair factory in Benton, Kentucky, was a member of the Brooks Chapel United Methodist Church and a lifelong member of the United Methodist Women.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Alfred Jones, who died on June 1, 2006; one son, Danny Jones; one brother, L.D. Miller; and by one sister, Lucille Hale.

Mrs. Jones is survived by one daughter, Bonita Hale and husband Kenny of Dexter, Kentucky; two sons, Harold D. Jones and wife Nettie of Dexter, Kentucky and Jerry D. Jones and wife Brenda of Almo, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Shannon Grise, Shawn Jones, Kevin Jones, Kim Bryant and Kelly Wilson; nine great grandchildren, Zach and Alex Grise, Amber and Allison Jones, Chase, Katie and Sophi Bryant, and Carter and Chandler Wilson; as well as one great great grandchild, Waylon Rayburn.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Robert McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
