Glenda Sue Byerly

Mrs. Glenda Sue Byerly, age 86, of Murray, Kentucky, died on, Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.

Mrs. Byerly was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on April 27, 1934, to the late Reggie Ellis and Joy Collins Ellis. She was a retired cafeteria supervisor for the Calloway County School System and was a member of the Poplar Spring Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Franklin Byerly; one daughter, Karen Morgan; as well as one grandson, Nathan Hudgins.

Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Byerly of Sheperdsville, Kentucky and Janet Hudgins and husband Jamie of Paris, Tennessee; one son, Terry Byerly and wife Bonnie of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Clara Faye Sweet and Diane Vernot both of Murray, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Ashley Haworth, John Allen, Heather Borgarding, Jeremy Byerly, Melissa Allen, Michael Allen, Andrew Byerly, J.T. Hudgins, ; as well as 9 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Bro. Martin Severns officiating. Burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
