Glenda "Sue" Hughes, 83 of Murray, Kentucky died on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Emeritus Assisted Living in Murray.
Sue was born in Kirksey, Kentucky on August 7, 1929 to the late Alford Lee Hughes and Tellie Valarah (Ezell) Hughes. Sue was a retired teacher who taught in the New Albany Floyd County School System in New Albany, Indiana and she was of the Presbyterian faith.
In addition to her parents Sue was preceded in death by two sisters, Lura Cox and Martha Hughes; and by two brothers, Dr. Don Hughes and H.L. Hughes.
Sue is survived by one brother, Joe Hughes and wife Lillian of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; as well as several nieces and nephews, Kaye Hughes, David Hughes, Eddie Cox, Bobby Cox, Carolyn Delp, Pam Yantzer and Heather Hughes.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the funeral home.
