Harold Lee Flake

Mr. Harold Lee Flake, age 88, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at his home. 

          Mr. Flake was born on September 16, 1935, in Philadelphia, Mississippi to the late Lee Flake and Jewell (McNeil) Flake. He was an Army Veteran and worked as a machine operator for Wesley’s Quaker Maid Company in Detroit, Michigan. 

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen Alexander and Marie Tucker; as well as one granddaughter, Nicole Grogan.

          Survivors include his wife, Charolette (Morris) Flake of Murray, Kentucky; one daughter, Cindy Cohoon-Grogan of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Jerry Flake and wife Paula of Philadelphia, Mississippi; one grandchild, Chris Vaden and wife Andrea of Kansas City, Missouri; as well as five great-grandchildren, Olivia Johnson and Kane Miles both of Murray, Kentucky and Ele Vaden, Jack Vaden, and Posey Vaden all of Kansas City, Missouri.

          A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Tim Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
