Harold Lloyd Fones

Mr. Harold Lloyd Fones, age 95, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the Spring Creek Nursing Home in Murray, Kentucky. 

          Mr. Fones was born on August 19, 1928, in Crockett County, Tennessee to the late Luska Melvin Fones and Neva Houston Childress. Mr. Fones retired as an auto body repair Man and attended the First United Methodist Church in Murray, Kentucky. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and was an avid bird watcher and woodworker.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his wife, Mary Smith Fones; five sisters; three brothers and a son in law, Donnie Mathews.

          Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Walcher of Clarksville, Tennessee and Laura Lee Stephenson and husband Mike of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Michael Black and wife Debi of Almo, Kentucky; as well as, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. 

          There will be no public services or visitation held at this time.
