Mr. Harold L. Irvan, age 89, of the Golo Community, died, Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.
Mr. Irvan was born in Centralia, Illinois to the late Marcus Weldon Irvan and Pauline White Irvan. Mr. Irvan was a retired minister for various Churches of Christ in this area for several years, as well as a retired member of the Pipefitters Local#184 in Paducah, Kentucky. Mr. Irvan was an Army veteran of WWII and was a member of the Mt. Olive Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents Mr. Irvan was preceded in death by son, Gerald Irvan, as well as one infant son.
Mr. Irvan is survived by his wife of 72 years, Binitta Irvan of Murray; one brother, Billy Irvan and wife Charlotte of Golo, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Teresa Sanders and husband Karl of Lowes, Kentucky, Michael Irvan of Mayfield, Kentucky, Rhonda French and husband Wayne of Olive Branch, Mississippi; three great grandchildren and two great – great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Mays and Virgil Hale officiating. Burial to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2013 at the funeral home.
