Harold Mason Shoemaker

Mr. Harold Mason Shoemaker, age 74, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at his home.

He was a local businessman. He was a 1966 graduate of Murray State University receiving Bachelor of Science in Business. He was a Kentucky Colonel and an Eagle Scott.

Harold was born in Murray, Kentucky on May 11, 1944 to the late William Darrell and Martha Elizabeth Hurt Shoemaker. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by one sister, Judith Blassingame.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Wilson Shoemaker of Murray, Kentucky. They were married in Murray, Kentucky on June 28, 1964. In addition to his wife he is also survived by one daughter, Lisa Shoemaker of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Dean Shoemaker of Murray, Kentucky and Thomas "Marty" Harper and wife Anita of Murray, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Daniel Harper and wife Chloe, Amber DuFriend and husband Jon, Jade Ford, Tori Ford, Kealy Shoemaker and Gabriel Shoemaker; one great grandson, Jackson DuFriend.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Murray City Cemetery on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Rev. Kerry Lambert will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
