Hazel Jean Brandon

Mrs. Hazel Jean Brandon, age 84, of Murray, Kentucky died on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray.

Mrs. Brandon was born in Murray, Kentucky on January 30, 1931 to the late Cordie "C.T." Rushing and Fannie Lou Grogan Rushing. Mrs. Brandon was a retired school teacher with the Mayfield City School system. She also was a co-owner of Brandon Rental Property. She was a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church, and also attended the South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Brandon was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Brandon and one brother, Tommy Rushing.

Mrs. Brandon is survived by one son, Cary Brandon and wife Julia of Murray, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Michael Rossi of Murray, Kentucky and Justin Rossi and wife Carla of Murray, Kentucky; four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Cayla, Camryn, and Allyson Rossi all of Murray, Kentucky, also two nieces, and three great nieces.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Robert Baker officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
