Mr. Henry Sledd, age 85, of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
He was born in Marshall County Kentucky on December 10, 1928 to the late William and Roxy Sledd. Mr. Sledd was a retired sheet metal worker. He was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church and a member of the Murray Masonic Lodge F & A.M. #105.
In addition to his parents Mr. Sledd was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Mae Brown Sledd, who died on April 20, 2014; one brother, Bob Sledd; and a daughter-in-law, Donna Sledd.
Mr. Sledd is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Sledd Crass of Hardin, Kentucky and Barbara Sledd Windsor and husband Randy of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Russell Sledd and wife Kathy of Almo, Kentucky and Larry Sledd of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Jonathan Mathis, Mitzi Adams, Michael Windsor, Mitchell Windsor, Dawn Fike, Tony Sledd, Christy Sledd, Eddie Sledd and Chasidy Blankenship; as well as seventeen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2014 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Martin Severns will officiate with burial to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
