Herbert Henry Covey

Mr. Herbert H. Covey, age 82, of Murray, passed away July 18, 2010, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Mr. Covey was born in Missouri on October 16, 1927 to the late George Alec and Gladys Stegall Covey. Mr. Covey owned and operated Covey Electronics in Hickman, KY before retiring. Mr. Covey was an Army Veteran of WWII and a member of the Westside Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Covey was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Leslie and Bobby Covey.
Mr. Covey his survived by his wife, Nancy Covey of Murray, three daughters, Dawn Kemp and husband Fred of Murray, Camme Cain and husband Brad of Murray, and Starr Perry and husband Mike of Justin, Texas, one sister, Doris Summers McConell of Hornbeak, TN, as well as three grandchildren Landon and Alexis Cain, and Cortland Kemp all of Murray.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Murray City Cemetery with Bro. Glynn Orr officiating. Entombment to follow. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
