Herbert Denham

Dr. Herbert C. Denham, age 82, of Camelot Drive Murray Kentucky, died 11:20 am Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at his home.
He was an Optometrist practicing over 50 years and in Murray Kentucky since 1972. He was an Army Veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Starr and Combat Infantry Badge. He was a member of the Westside Baptist Church
He was born January 25, 1928 to the late John M. and Ollis Cole Denham. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by three brothers, Oscar Denham, Dolphus Denham, and Billy J. Denham.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Brannon Denham in whom he married March 27, 1960 in Paducah Kentucky, three sons, John Denham and wife Lori of Murray Kentucky, Mark Denham and wife Leslie of Franklin Tennessee, and David Denham and wife Christine of Irving Texas, eight grandchildren, Chris Denham, Jared Denham, Daniel Denham, Julie Bryant, Amy Denham, Emily Denham, Sarah Montgomery, Kaitlyn Denham, two great grandchildren, Keria Denham and Jordan Denham.
Services will be held Friday, April 9, 2010 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. Glynn Orr will officiate and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the funeral home.
