Hezzie M. Turner

Mr. Hezzie M. Turner, age 95, of Murray, Kentucky, died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Turner was born in the Turkey Creek Community of Golden Pond Kentucky on October 15, 1918 to the late Breford Turner and Katie (Snider) Turner. Mr. Turner was a retired sheet metal worker, he attended Northside Baptist Church, was a member of the Masonic Lodge #753 in Garden City Michigan and an Army veteran of WWII.
In addition to his parents Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Turner; one daughter, Edith M. Turner; four brothers, Coen Turner, Jack Turner, Raymond Lee "Doc" Turner and Conley Turner; one sister, Owen L. Downs; and cousin Oval Turner.
Mr. Turner is survived by two daughters, Phyllis A. Turner of Murray, Kentucky; Doris K. Sato of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Ella Mae Cross of Hollywood, Alabama; three grandchildren, Derek Pace, Dana Pace, and Kristopher Sato; as well as two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the J. H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Brett Miles and Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
