Hilda R. Jones

Hilda R. Jones, 96 of Murray, Ky., died Friday, February 18, 2011, at Parkview Health Care in Paducah, Ky.
She received her Master’s Degree from the University of Michigan, her Bachelor’s Degree from Murray State University and attended Columbia University, New York, and University of London, England. Mrs. Jones was a teacher in Michigan and a principle in Germany before returning to her home in Hardin, Ky. She was born March 9, 1914 in Calloway Co., Ky.
She is survived by her sister, Bobbie Buchanan of Murray, Ky., brother, Russell Jones (Jean) of Daleville, Ala., sister in law, Edna Earl Jones of Benton, Ky., and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Grace Wilkerson Jones, sisters, Sammie Lane Ball, Elizabeth Cooper and Marian Sparks, brothers, Gary and Roger Jones.
A private memorial service will be held on Tuesday at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating, and burial will follow in the Curd Cemetery.
