Hontas Larue Shook

Mrs. Hontas Larue Shook, 85, of Murray, KY died Monday, January 16, 2012 at Lakeway Nursing Home in Benton, KY.
Mrs. Shook was born in Stewart Co., TN on May 24, 1926 to the late George Edmond Barrett and Frankie Naomi (Carr) Barrett. Mrs. Shook worked as a clerk at Murray Uniform; she was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Shook was preceded in death by her husband, T.C. Shook who died on July 13, 1984; one brother, James Barrett.
Mrs. Shook is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Gail Massey of Hazel ,KY; one brother, Alex Barrett and wife Wanda of Hazel, KY; two grandchildren, Tommy Massey and wife Angela, and Tony Massey; as well as three great grandchildren, Troy, Tucker and Jaden Isabella.
Funeral services will held on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial to follow in the Green Plain Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the funeral home.
