Mr. Howell T. "Jack" Starks age 92, of Hazel, Ky., died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Ky.
Mr. Starks was born March 21, 1920 in Calloway Co., Kentucky to the late George and Ola B. Straider Starks.
Mr. Starks was retired from Sykes Plumbing, and was a member of the Hazel Church of Christ. He was also an Army veteran of WWII.
Mr. Starks is survived by his wife, Maxine Sykes Starks of Hazel, Ky., two daughters, Georgia Ann Paschall (Mike) of Murray, Ky., Renaye Lynn Hendon (L.J.) of Murray, Ky., six sons, James Howell Starks (Sissy) of Hazel, Ky., Eddie Starks (Penny) of Buchanan, Tn., Roger Starks of Hazel, Ky., Lee Starks (Val) of Murray, Ky., Terry Starks (Kathy) of Murray, Ky., Jerry Starks (Brenda) of Murray, Ky., also seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Robert Wayne Starks, two brothers, Brent and Wesley Starks, sister, Pearl Turpin.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Chad Canter and Rev. Kerry Lambert will officiate, and burial will follow in the Green Plain Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
