Mr. Hugh Franklin Deering, age 81, of Murray, Kentucky died on Saturday, February 03, 2018 at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray.
Mr. Deering was born in Murray, Kentucky on January 21, 1937 to the late Hubert and Esther (Nance) Deering. Mr. Deering was a retired farmer and a member of the Salem Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents Mr. Deering was preceded in death by his first wife, Levada (Mitchusson) Deering; and by his second wife, JoAnne (Chandler) Deering.
Mr. Deering is survived by his wife, Norma (Lawson) Deering of Murray, to whom he married in April 2008 in Lynn Grove, Kentucky; two daughters, Janet Myers and husband Benny of Murray, Kentucky and Joyce McKnight and husband Guy of Murray ,Kentucky; two sons, Danny Deering of Murray, Kentucky and Charles Deering and wife Regina of Murray, Kentucky; one step-son, Scott Baker and wife Christy of Benton, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Kody Myers and wife Tabitha of Murray, Kentucky, Amy Letts and husband Jim of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Heather Norsworthy and husband Jesse of Hazel, Kentucky; one step-grandson, Jase Baker of Benton, Kentucky; as well as six great-grandchildren, Kristopher, Taylor, Kameron and Kyler Myers and Isabella and Lucy Norsworthy.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Kendrick Lewis and Bro. Andy Harrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
