Hugh W. "Butch" Thompson

Mr. Hugh Wayne "Butch" Thompson age 67, of Dexter, Kentucky, died Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Butch was born March 10, 1949 in Murray, Kentucky. He was a carpenter by trade and helped build a multitude of houses in the area. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda West Thompson, two sons, Michael Thompson and Monty Thompson, two granddaughters, Lake Thompson and Ronnie Duke and husband Clark, two great grandchildren, Paisley Duke and Noah Thompson. He also leaves behind his parents Euple Lee and husband Bob, and Ronald Thompson and wife Joyce, along with four sisters, Paulette Sykes and husband Mike, Pam Vidmer and husband Steve, Renee Buckingham, and Tina Wilson and husband Mike. He is also survived by a sister-in-law Martha Outland, and four brother-in laws, JT West and wife, Joyce, Glenn West and wife Brenda, David West, and Jackie West and wife Traci as well as several nieces and nephews.
Respecting his request, no formal arrangements will be made. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. J.H. Churchill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
