Ida Lorene Vinson

Ms. Ida Lorene Vinson, 97, of Puryear, Tennessee died Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Ms. Vinson was born in Stewart County, Tennessee on September 24, 1916 to the late Oscar and Orlena (Cable) Vinson. Ms. Vinson was a retired school teacher who taught in the Henry County School System. She was a member of the Hazel Baptist Church since 1942, a member of the Henry County Retired Teachers Association, and a 60 year member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.

Ms. Vinson is survived by one brother, Willie Vinson of Puryear, Tennessee; niece and caregiver, Beth Mangrum and husband Keith of Puryear, Tennessee; great nephew, Jason Mangrum and wife Jenny of Puryear, Tennessee; and great-great niece, Erin Mangrum of Puryear, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Hazel Baptist Church in Hazel, Kentucky at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Brent Lee officiating. Burial will follow at the Hazel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Hazel Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. until funeral hour (2:00).
