Imogene McClure

Mrs. Imogene McPherson McClure, age 96, of Murray, Kentucky died on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

Mrs. McClure was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on August 1, 1920 to the late Ocus McPherson and Bernice (Dick) McPherson. Mrs. McClure was a homemaker, was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Rosie The Riveter Association.

In addition to her parents Mrs. McClure was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Geurin; one great niece, Megan Parrish; and by one nephew Lloyd Allen McClure.

Mrs. McClure is survived by her husband of 77 years, Clarence O. "Bill" McClure, to whom she married on April 13, 1940 in Marshall County, Kentucky; two daughters, Gail McClure Milligan of Paducah, Kentucky and Karen Fleming and husband Wayne of Marseilles, Illinois; one brother, Joe McPherson and wife Pat of Omaha, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Jeannie Gabehart and husband Lee, Anne Fleming, Sarah Aye and husband Eric, Greg Cherry and wife Karla, Chris Wahlig and wife Marybeth and Paul Milligan, Jr.; eight great grandchildren; a special niece, Cindy Dunn and husband Danny of Paris, Tennessee; special nephew, Mike McPherson of Murray, Kentucky; as well as several other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the South Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2017.
