Iva Dell Carson

Mrs. Iva Dell Carson, age 88, of Kirksey, Kentucky, died on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Mrs. Carson was born on February 6, 1931, in Fort Dodge, Iowa to the late Leonard Ellis Davis and Elizabeth (Norphlett) Davis. She was a hairdresser and a member of the Kirksey Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Fray Carson; and one brother, Ellis Davis.
Survivors include one son, Gary N. Carson and wife Kay of Paducah, Kentucky; three sisters, Joann Rodgers and husband Billy Gerald of Farmington, Kentucky, Carol Craig of Hazel, Kentucky, and Sally Curry and husband Mike of Mayfield, Kentucky; one brother, Ronald Newsom and wife Peggy of Golo, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Donna Owen and husband Jason of Paducah, Kentucky and Patty Fischer and husband David of Paducah, Kentucky; four great-grandchildren, Kody Owen, Kristen Owen, Sean Monroe, and Jacob Fischer; as well as three great-great grandchildren, Gabriella Owen, Jayden Owen, and Mackenzie Byrum.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, July 5, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Palmer and Bro. Van Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., on Friday, July 5, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
