J. Terry Cavitt

Mr. J. Terry Cavitt age 86, of the Penny Community., died Saturday, December 07, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Cavitt was born November 30, 1927, in Farmington, Ky., to the late Brinkley and Ruth Nanny Cavitt. He was a retired farmer, self-employed carpenter, and was a member of the United Brotherhood of carpenters, were he served as a secretary, treasurer, and BA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Overby Cavitt, sister, Elizabeth Bright, and a great grandson, Bryson Cavitt.
He is survived by three daughters, Julia LaBelle and husband Steve of Zeigler, Ill., Paula Lossner and husband Thomas of Cocoa, Fla., and Teresa George of Murray, Ky., one son, Garry Cavitt and wife Diane of Murray, Ky., twin brother, Perry Cavitt and wife Joanne of Murray, Ky., also sixteen grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Steve Cavitt will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
