Mr. Jackie Franklin Byerly, 76, of Murray, KY, died June 4, 2011 at 9:30 p.m. at the Murray Calloway Co. Hospital.
Mr. Byerly was born in Calloway Co., KY on Sept. 30, 1934 to the late Clovis and Flossie Dunn Byerly. Mr. Byerly retired from the Tappan Manufacturing Co., Murray Division and was also a farmer. Mr. Byerly was a member of the Poplar Spring Baptist Church. There he served as a deacon and was a member of the Adult II Sunday School Class.
In addition to his parents Mr. Byerly was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Byerly Morgan.
Mr. Byerly is survived by his wife, Glenda Byerly of Murray, married on December 22, 1951 in Calloway Co., KY; two daughters, Teresa Byerly of Shepherdsville, KY and Janet Hudgins and husband Jamie of Paris, TN; one son, Terry Byerly and wife Bonnie of New Concord, KY; nine grandchildren, Ashley Haworth of Alamo, TN, John Allen of Paris, TN, Heather Borgarding of Lakeworth, FL, Jeremy Byerly of Murray, KY, Melissa Allen of Paris, TN, Michael Allen of Houston, TX , Andrew Byerly of New Concord, KY, J.T. Hudgins of Paris, TN and Nathan Hudgins of Paris, TN; also surviving are three great grandchildren, Lyndsi Allen, Jaylyn Byerly, and London Byerly
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Rob Ison officiating and special remarks by Dale Campbell. Burial to follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
