Mr. Jacob Thomas Adkins, age 37, of Mayfield, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Kentucky.
Mr. Adkins was born on August 6, 1986, in Mayfield, Kentucky. He worked for Michael Adkins Farms as a farmer and was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church in Mayfield, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Tommy Adkins; as well as his maternal grandfather, Ed Walston.
Survivors include his mother, Edwina Maynard and husband Wayne of Murray, Kentucky; father, Jeffery T. Adkins of De Soto, Missouri; two brothers, Chris Wilder of Hardin, Kentucky and Nathan T. Maynard of Murray, Kentucky; paternal grandmother, Carol Adkins of Mayfield, Kentucky; maternal grandmother, Shirley Walston of Murray, Kentucky; step paternal grandmother, Betty Maynard of Pilot Oak, Kentucky; step paternal grandfather, Tim Maynard of Corinth, Mississippi; three uncles, Terry Walston and wife Terri of Almo, Kentucky, Mike Adkins and wife Lisa of Lynnville, Kentucky, and Shane Maynard of Pilot Oak, Kentucky; one niece, Ashton Pittman of Hardin, Kentucky; as well as his special friend, Katie Richmond of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Bro. Tony Steele officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery in Mayfield, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
