Mr. James Franklin Andrus, 84, of Murray, KY died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Murray - Calloway County Hospital. He was born September 25, 1928 in Marshall Co., Ky. to the late James Mitchell and Velma P. Cornwell Andrus.
Mr. Andrus was a retired truck driver for PTL, a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ, and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was also the oldest member of the "Red Hand" motorcycle club.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Lovett Andrus of Murray, Ky. they married March 14, 1951 in Corinth, Ms., three sons, Ken Andrus and wife Karen of Murray, Ky., Joey Andrus of Murray, and Jeff Andrus and wife Jessica also of Murray, sister, Peggy Mills of Hardin, Ky., and brother Leon Andrus of Hardin, Ky., five grandchildren, Kris Andrus of Murray, Korey Andrus and wife Sam of Murray, Kayla Andrus of Nashville, Tn., Xander Andrus of Murray, and Kris Nicole Bland also of Murray, one great grandchild, Amelia Jean Andrus also of Murray.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, John Dale and Jason Hart will officiate and burial will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
