James Calvin Barnett

Mr. James Calvin Barnett, age 85, of Murray, Kentucky, entered the presence of Jesus on, Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
Mr. Barnett was born on September 30, 1935, in Calloway County, Kentucky, to the late Thomas Alfred Barnett and Robbie Luverne Outland Barnett. He was a retired Kentucky State Police Trooper and was a farmer. Mr. Barnett was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Janice Kay Arteberry Barnett.
Survivors include two daughters, Jamie Wade and husband Bruce of Murray, Kentucky and Carla Thomas and husband Steve of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Robert Jameson Wade and wife Sara of New Concord, Kentucky, Robert Kyle Wade and wife Holly of Murray, Kentucky, and Cari Smith and husband Nate of Murray, Kentucky; as well as four great grandchildren, Emily Lynn Wade of New Concord, Kentucky, James Robert Wade of New Concord, Kentucky, Molly Kay Wade of New Concord, Kentucky, and Collins Greer Smith of Murray, Kentucky.
A private family service will be held with burial following in the Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Brett Miles will officiate.
