Mr. James A. Carrol, age 88, of Hardin, Kentucky died at his home on Tuesday, November 03, 2015.
Mr. Carrol was born in Harris Grove, Kentucky on December 17, 1926 to the late Galen Carrol and Nellie (Norman) Carrol. Mr. Carrol before retiring worked as a union laborer and foreman. He was an Army Veteran, a dedicated member of the Coles Campground United Methodist Church, and a member of the Kentucky Lake Camping Club.
In addition to his parents Mr. Carrol was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Farris; seven brothers, Halford, Alt, Norman, Frank, Joe Brent, Charles and Jerry Carrol; and by one grandson, Michael Don Bailey.
Mr. Carrol is survived by his wife Luenell Carrol of Hardin, Kentucky, to whom he married on October 26, 1946 in Benton, Kentucky; one daughter, Laurel Jean Bailey and husband Don of Hazel, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Amy McClain and husband Kevin of Benton, Kentucky and Carol Newby and husband Justin of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; as well as three great grandchildren, Kyle and Alyssa McClain and Paige Newby.
. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Robert McKinney and Rev. Steve Howe officiating. Burial will follow in the Coles Campground Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
