Mr. James Wildy Cooper, age 78, of Hazel, Kentucky, died, Friday, April 06, 2012 at 1:25 a.m. at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Cooper was born in Calloway Co., Kentucky on February 11, 1934 to the late Roy and Ruth Taylor Cooper. Mr. Cooper was a retired truck driver, a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church and an Army veteran.
In addition to his parents Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Frances Dugger and an infant grandson, James Cooper Wilson.
Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife Jan Weatherford Cooper of Hazel, KY; three daughters, Lou- Ann Birdsong of Murray, Kentucky, Janna Schroader and husband Dickie of Hazel, Kentucky and Tina Wilson and husband Kent of Almo, Kentucky; one sister, Delyghte Humphrey and husband Charles of Hazel, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Jerry Wade Birdsong and wife Nickie, Corey Birdsong, Kristen Birdsong, Amanda Chadwick Coles and husband Chris, Matthew Chadwick and wife Kelsey, McKaylon Wilson and Casey Wilson; as well as two great grandchildren, Allyson Kay Coles and Corbin Wade Birdsong.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Kory Cunningham officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday April 9, 2012 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
