Mr. James Leslie Erwin, age 73 of Crossland, Kentucky died Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House.
He was retired from the Calloway County Health Department after 32 years of service; he was a member of the South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where he was an active member of the United Methodist Men's Group.
James was born in Murray, Kentucky on November 22, 1945 to the late James Warren and Polly Ellis Erwin.
He is survived by his wife, Sheri Marshall Erwin to whom he married in Murray, Kentucky on June 24, 1995; two daughters, Leslie Boggess of Murray, Kentucky and Megan Ottway and husband Chase of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, James Ross Erwin of Crossland, Kentucky and Brad Erwin and wife Crystal of Crossland, Kentucky; ten grandchildren, Maddie Erwin, Ellie Erwin, Morgan Erwin, Jase Erwin, Reagan Settle, Aubrey Settle, Brinn Erwin, Clay Ottway, Caitlin Garner and Erin Williamson; three great grandchildren, Gabe Williamson, Weston Garner and Paisley Jo Renee Downing.
Memorial services will be held at the South Pleasant Grove Untied Methodist Church on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:00 am. Rev. David Allbritten will officiate. Visitation will be held at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and at South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
