Mr. Rabon Harper, age 79, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
James Rabon Harper was born on April 27, 1938 in Trigg County to the late Woodrow Wilson Harper and the late Etta Frances (Dunn) Harper. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harper was also preceded in death by his son, Steven Ray Harper, and grandson Kyle Logan Harper.
Mr. Harper worked in the Popcorn, Pork Farm, and Auto Transporting Businesses. He was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife Joyce Harper of Murray, to whom he was married on December 09, 1968 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, son Dewayne Harper and his wife Pam, grand-daughter Darby (Harper) Lax and husband Dustin, great-grand-daughter Hailey Harper, and grand-daughter Stephanie (Harper) Love, sister Virginia "Sissy" Ann (Harper) Houston and her husband Don all of Murray, Kentucky, daughter-in-law Martha Harper, grand-daughter Jamie Horton and husband Thomas and great-grand-son Gabe.
Services will be held at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, 201 S. 3rd. Street, Murray, KY 42071 with John Dale and Stephen Hunter presiding.
Visitation will be Monday July 17, from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 18, 2017 at 2:00 P.M.
Entombment will follow the funeral services at the Murray Memorial Gardens.
