Mr. James Hill, age 94 of Manteno, IL, died Thursday, October 8, 2015, at the Illinois Veterans Home in Manteno, IL.
Mr. Hill was a retired welder repairman for Ford Motor Company. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II and the Korean War.
He was born on October 16, 1920, in Farmington, KY, the son of the late Landie and Evie Darnell Hill. He married Clara L. Pea, on August 23, 1941, in Charleston, MO. She preceded him in death on August 7, 1999. He is also preceded in death by brother, Collie Hill and sister, Era Young.
He is survived by his two daughters and son-in-law; Kathy Taylor of Bourbonnais, IL, and Sandra and Donald Bayston of Bourbonnais, IL; son and daughter-in-law, James and Linda Hill of Spring Branch, TX; one sister, Catherine Wyatt of Murray, KY; one brother and sister-in-law, Claude and Jessie Hill of Mayfield, KY; a brother-in-law, Roy David Pea of Fort Myers, FL; as well as seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Bazzell Cemetery in Farmington, KY.
