James Darrell Parker

Mr. James Darrell Parker, age 72, of Murray, Kentucky died on Monday, November 14, 2016.

Mr. Parker was born on November 13, 1944 in Calloway County, Kentucky, to the late James Frank Parker and Wilma Dell Wilson Parker. He was retired from General Tire after 42 years of service.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his step mother, Grace N. Parker; one sister, Janice Kay Parker; and a great grandson, Colby Paschall.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Morris Parker of Murray, to whom he married on September 10, 1982 in Murray, Kentucky; two daughters, Lorie Turner and husband James, Melissa Paschall and husband Barry; two sons, James Darren Parker and wife Elaine, Matthew Parker and special friend Rachel Bailey; eight grandchildren, Jordan Gillum (Brittney), Gene Dale Paschall (Nicole), Dakota Parrish, Alex Paschall (Megan), Kennady Parker (Taylor), Nicole Parker, Samantha Paschall and Elizabeth Parker; as well as one great grandchild, Wesley Paschall.

A graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Ledbetter Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Joe Pat Winchester will officiate with burial to follow. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
