Mr. James F. "Bobby" Scott, age 95, of Murray, Kentucky died on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Lakeway Nursing and Rehab in Benton, Kentucky.
Mr. Scott was born in Trigg County, Kentucky on February 15, 1924 to the late James Plomer Scott and Fannie (Page) Scott. Mr. Scott retired from Parker Ford in Murray as an autobody repair technician. He was of he Baptist faith and an Army veteran of WWII.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Scott; one daughter, Sandra Gail Leedy; one brother, Jack Scott; five sisters, Ethlene Ahart, Irene Mitchuson, Dolly Colson, Janie Thurman and Lillian Hughes; and one grandson, James "Jamie" W. Scott.
Mr. Scott is survived by one son, Ralph Stan Scott and wife Paulette of Kirksey, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Joey Scott and wife Chanda, Jennifer Lamb, and Christy Watkins and husband Ben; eight great-grandchildren, Brittany Scott, Katie Scott, Adyson Philips, Garrett Scott, Briley Scott, Hailey Roach, Erin Tubbs, and Dillon Fry; five great-great grandchildren, James Carter Williams, Ella Williams, Ayden Krauss, Kayson Lawrence and J.C. Watkins; as well as a granddaughter-in-law, Lorie Scott.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Elijah Balentine officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the American Legion, Post #73. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
