James "Jimmy" Slay

Mr. James B "Jimmy" Slay, age 77 of Murray, Kentucky, died Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
He was retired from the United States Department of Agriculture as an Inspector. He was of Baptist Faith
Jimmy was born December 23, 1942 in Hopewell, Mississippi to the late Homer and Martha Jeanette Miller Slay.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Slay; one son, Michael Bell; two brothers, Bill Slay and Alvin Slay.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Donnis Slay of Murray, Kentucky; they were married June 14, 1974 in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. Also survived by two daughters, Alicia Williams and husband Shane of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi and Melissa Durham and husband Tommy of Murray, Kentucky; four grandchildren Hannah Williams, Hunter Williams, Kaitlyn Durham and Michael Durham.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Tim Palmer will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38101.
