James Owens Weathers

Mr. James Owen Weathers, Sr., age 72, of Hazel, Kentucky, died on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at his home.
Mr. Weathers was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on December 10, 1946 to the late John Owen Weathers, Jr. and Billie Jean Smith Weathers. He was the owner of J&J Marine and Sports and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Weathers was also a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Marine Corps.
Mr. Weathers is survived by his wife Billie Jo "BJ" Weathers, two step daughters, Carla Hosey of Denver, Colorado, and Jennifer Hosey of Mesquite, Texas; one son, James O. Weathers, Jr. and wife Ruby of Murray, Kentucky; one step-son, Roy Campbell and wife Patty of Coosada, Alabama; two grandchildren, Jamie Ann Weathers and James O. Weathers, III, both of Murray, Kentucky; seven step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, Jannie Ellen Alexander.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Cope officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnett Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
