James M. Winchester

Mr. James M. Winchester, age 84, of Benton, Kentucky passed away, Friday, June 14, 2024, at his home.

Mr. Winchester was born on April 4, 1940, in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Marvin and Elta (Lassiter) Winchester. He retired from General Tire and was a veteran of the Army National Guard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Frances Thompson; two brothers, Tommy and Jack Winchester.

Survivors include two daughters, Julia Kay Adams and husband Eddie of Mayfield, Kentucky and Edna Winchester of Marshall County, Kentucky; one sister, Virginia Henson; one grandchild, Sharon Adams; as well as one great grandson.

A memorial graveside service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the New Concord Cemetery in New Concord, Kentucky with John Dale officiating.

There will be no public visitation.
