Mr. James Windsor, age 85, of Murray, Kentucky, died Tuesday, December 04, 2012 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
He was a member of Salem Baptist Church; he retired from Auto Specialist in St. Joseph, Michigan; he was an Army Veteran of WWII.
He was born in Puryear, Tennessee on May 20, 1927 to the late Tilman Windsor and Opal Bivens. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his first wife, Reba Windsor; second wife, Irene Jackson Windsor; one daughter, Carol Cannady; one son, Ronnie Kirby; one grandson, David Kirby; two great grandchildren, Amanda Brooks and Brandy Kirby; one sister, Lovis Manning;one brother, Billy Windsor Sr.
He is survived by two daughters, Sheila Vienup and husband Harold of Chicago, Illinois, Pat West and husband Gerald of Hazel, Kentucky; three sons, Jimmy Windsor and wife Karen of Sodus Michigan, Billy Windsor of Murray, Kentucky, Jerry Kirby and wife Vickie of Hartford Michigan; two sisters, Claudean Epps and husband Walter of Puryear, Tennessee, Linda Jones and husband Jerry of Murray, Kentucky; four brothers, Charles Windsor and wife Martha of Lynn Grove, Kentucky, Glen Windsor of Lynn Grove, Kentucky, Keith Manning and wife Kathy of Lynn Grove, Kentucky, Buddy Manning and wife Mary of Buchannan Tennessee. Twenty one grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, December 8, 2012 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro John Sheppard will officiate with burial to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 Friday, December 7, 2012 at the funeral home.
