Jammie Jeanette Poat

Mrs. Jammie Jeanette Poat, age 75, of Murray, Kentucky died on December 12, 2017 at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Mrs. Poat was born on November 24, 1942 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Jim Thomasson and Jeanette (Rutherford) Thomasson. She retired as an Office Manager with Loretta Jobs Realty after thirty-two years, and was of the Catholic faith.

Mrs. Poat is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bud Poat of Murray, Kentucky; three daughters, Melissa "Missy" Mitchell and fiancé Mike Rhodes of Sellersburg, Indiana, Heather Wyatt and husband Todd of Searcy, Arkansas, Kristen Vance and husband David of Fisherville, Kentucky; one sister, Carol Whitten and husband Mike of Signal Mountain, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Lauren, Zachary, Landon, Lainey, Ethan, Logan, Kendall and Brandon.

She enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren and friends, and her dog Oliver.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
