Mrs. Jane (Fitts) Lovett, 78, of Murray, Kentucky died Wednesday, January 01, 2014 at Benchmark Healthcare in Puryear, Tennessee.
Mrs. Lovett was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on February 8, 1935 to the late Noble Fitts and Ronda (Roberts) Fitts. Mrs. Lovett before retiring was the owner and operator of The Shoe Tree in Murray for 27 years. She was a member of the Palestine United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Lovett was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Grogan; and by one brother, Cecil Fitts.
Mrs. Lovett is survived by her husband, Thomas D. Lovett of Murray, to whom she married on December 26, 1953 in Murray; two daughters, Regina Melton and husband Eddie of Sebree, Kentucky and Amelia K. Harris and husband Brent of East Carondelet, Illinois; one sister, Polly Garland of Louisville, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Lindsey Hicklin and husband Nathan, Logan Harris and Gwendylyn Harris; as well as one great grandchild, Anna Claire Hicklin.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Robert McKinney and Rev. David Allbritten officiating. Burial will follow in the Outland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
