Ms. Janice F. Dowdy age 68, of Hazel, KY, formerly of Mayfield, KY, died Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Heritage Manor Nursing home in Mayfield, KY.
Mrs. Dowdy was born Dec. 17, 1942 in Mayfield, KY, to the late Harry Moore Wyatt and Cledoth Irene Hendley. She was a former medical records assistant and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Keith Mangrum and wife Beth of Puryear, TN, also Steve Mangrum of Owensboro, KY; sister, Carol McDermott and husband Robert of Golo, KY; four brothers, Donnie Wyatt of Mayfield, KY, Tommy Hendley and wife Beverly of Sylva, N.C., Dwayne Hendley and wife Debbie of Melber, KY and Tom Wyatt and wife Lucia of Chicago, IL; as well as two grandchildren, Jason Mangrum and wife Jenny of Puryear, TN and Lindsey Soto of Cleveland, TN and one great grandchild, Erin Mangrum of Puryear, TN.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hazel Baptist Church with Rev. Brent Lee officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.
