Mrs. Janice Lee (Perkins) Farris, age 78, of Murray, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 03, 2017 at the Anna Mae Owen Hospice House in Murray.
Mrs. Farris was born in Murray, Kentucky on January 29, 1939 to the late John Harvey Perkins and Auberna (Marr) Perkins. Mrs. Farris retired with Jakel in Murray, Kentucky. She was a member of the Coles Campground United Methodist Church, a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and a member of the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Farris served as the church pianist and was a member of the church choir.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Farris was preceded in death by her husband Lois Dee Farris, who died on September 16, 2016.
Mrs. Farris is survived by two daughters, Debbie Daniel and husband Mike of Murray, Kentucky and Deanna Askin and husband Keith of Louisville, Kentucky; one sister, Martha Perkins Farris of Murray, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Kelsey Daniel, Allie Pollock and husband Justen and Sydney Daniel all of Murray, Kentucky and Ryan Askin and Luke Askin both of Louisville, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Howe officiating. Burial will follow in the Coles Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
