J.B. Poyner

Mr. J.B. Poyner, 89, of Murray, Kentucky died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Murray Calloway Co. Hospital.
Mr. Poyner was born in Calloway Co., Kentucky on September 6, 1922 to the late Bion and Minnie Williams Poyner. Mr. Poyner was a retired building contractor, a WWII Army Veteran and attended the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
Mr. Poyner is survived by his wife, Beatrice Newberry Poyner of Murray, to whom he married on May 29, 1948 in Corinth, Mississippi; one daughter, Paula Crouse of Murray; one grandson, Chad Windsor of Murray; two sisters, Clara Page and Bobbie Sue Elkins and husband Otis all of Murray; one sister in law, Verta Boyle of Murray; as well as one nephew and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial to follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
