Jean Ezell Shipley

Mrs. Jean E. Shipley, age 81, of Murray, Kentucky died Thursday, October 05, 2017 at Spring Creek Health Care.

Her journey through life included her marriage to Charles Hal Shipley in 1955, the birth of three children: Crista Lynn Shipley, Karen Shipley (Tim) Langford of Hickman, KY, and Kenneth Ray (Martha) Shipley of Cadiz, Ky.

She is survived by her husband, Hal. She was preceded in death by a daughter Crista Lynn. Her legacy includes six granddaughters: Andrea Langford Marsh, Mary Evelyn Langford Goodman, Amy Rhea Langford, Emily Jean Shipley Reidford, Ellen Rebekah Shipley Donaldson, Sarah Elizabeth Shipley., a brother, Wayne (Patty) Ezell, 3 nieces and 1 nephew.

A creative and giving person, Jean had a professional career in teaching, enjoyed many crafts, nurtured many friendships and contributed her energy to her husband, church and community.

A celebration of life will take place at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home in Murray, KY on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will take place on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at J.H.
Churchill Funeral Home from 5:30-8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, P.O. Box 1950, Clarksburg, MD 20871-1950.
