Jeanette Cavitt

Mrs. Jeanette Cavitt age 83 of the Penny community, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Cavitt was born Jan. 24, 1929 in Paducah, Ky. to the late Curtis and Kathleen Snow Overby. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, J.Terry Cavitt of Murray, Ky. they married Feb. 15, 1948 in Corinth, Ms., three daughters, Julia LaBelle and husband Steve of Zeigler, Ill., Paula Lossner and husband Tom of Cocoa, Fl., Teresa George of Murray, one son, Gary Cavitt and wife Diane of Murray, two sisters, Joanne Cavitt and husband Perry of Murray, Camilla Tarry and husband Jerry of Modesto, Ca., one brother, Robert Overby and wife Reda of Murray, also 16 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Horace, Francis, and Curtis L. Overby, also one great grandchild, Bryson Cavitt.
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, John Dale and Jim Tapp will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 19, 2012 after 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
