Jerry Allen

Mr. Jerry D. Allen, age 75, of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.

Mr. Allen was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on July 17, 1940 to the late Don V. Allen and Doris (Gamble) Allen. Mr. Allen had retired with Kenlake State Park as the business manager after 18 years of service. He was currently serving as the CFO for Wisdom Tree Technologies, LLC in Murray. Mr. Allen was a Navy Vietnam combat veteran, a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church and an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife Brenda Allen of Murray, to whom he married in 1960 in Fairfield, California; one daughter, Dawn Prescott and husband Quentin of Henderson, Kentucky; one son, Scott R. Allen of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Dennis E. Allen and wife Roxie of Fairfield, California; six grandchildren, Emily N. Reeves of Lexington, Kentucky, Allen E. Reeves of Owensboro, Kentucky, Adam G. Prescott and wife Whitney of Athens, Georgia, Aaron A. Allen of Honolulu, Hawaii, Alex Villanueva of Murray, Kentucky and Sarah B. Allen of Murray, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery with full military rites by VFW Post# 6291. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until funeral hour at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
