Jerry Smith Bazzell

Mr. Jerry S. Bazzell, age 80, of Murray, Kentucky died on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray.
Mr. Bazzell was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 6, 1938 to the late Cecil Bazzell and Lucille (Smith) Bazzell. Mr. Bazzell retired from General Tire and attended First Assembly of God Church in Mayfield, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bazzell was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Smith) Smith; and by two sons, Charles Loness and Jimmy Loness.
Mr. Bazzell is survived by two daughters, Karen L. Smith and husband Jack of Kirksey, Kentucky and Cindy S. Bazzell of Murray, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; as well as several great and great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Dustin McClain officiating. There will be no public visitation.
