Jerry A. Rayburn

Mr. Jerry A. Rayburn, age 74, of Murray, Kentucky died on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray.

Mr. Rayburn was born April 26, 1943, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Joe Rayburn and Lena Elvyn Coursey Rayburn. Mr. Rayburn was President & Founder of Jae Enterprises Inc. He started the business in 1979 and it is located in Almo, Kentucky. He was also a member of the Murray Masonic Lodge No. 105 F&AM. Jerry was an avid animal lover, devoted husband, father, and enjoyed seeing the world during his business travels. He loved nature and especially the fall season. He enjoyed good times on his farm with his brothers and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Kay Murphy Rayburn; two sisters, Betty Scheffler and Jane Gossett; two brothers, David Rayburn and Joe Dwight Rayburn; three brothers-in-law, Howard Copeland, Bill Williams and Bill Scheffler; three nephews, Bobby Rayburn, Jeff Gossett, and Dane Scheffler.

Survivors include one daughter, Jae Rayburn-Trimble and husband John of Paducah, Kentucky; three sisters, Mary Brooks Rose of Murray, Kentucky, Judy Copeland of Brentwood, Tennessee, and Shirley Williams of Madisonville, Kentucky; two brothers, Homer Rayburn and wife Lucille of Powell, Tennessee, and Tony Rayburn and wife Kathy of Murray, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Kerry Lambert will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Masonic rites will be held Saturday 6p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
