Mr. Jerry D. Scarbrough, age 73, of Murray, Kentucky, died Saturday, July 01, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Scarbrough was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky on July 9, 1943 to the late John Will Scarbrough and Lela Eudell Willoughby Scarbrough. He worked for over twenty years as a car parts manager in Murray and Benton. For the past two decades, he worked as a self-employed car parts salesman, and partnered with local car dealers in buying and selling used cars. He was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Jim Scarbrough.
Survivors include his wife Dana Gray Scarbrough of Murray, Kentucky. They were married on April 2, 1962 in Lafayette, Georgia; one son, Marty Scarbrough and wife Nancy of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one sister, Jane Page and husband Frank of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and three grandchildren, Benjamin, Daniel and Nathan Scarbrough, all of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Entombment will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
